Pre Lodgement
PRE LODGEMENT MEETINGS
A pre-lodgement meeting is a way to get early feedback on your development application before you formally lodge it. This helps to identify and resolve issues before you lodge an application. This can reduce delays when your application is assessed and may save you money.
The first step is to book an appointment with Council's Development and Planning team on 68502300 or planning@forbes.nsw.gov.au. To assist Council in preparing for the meeting, the following information is required:
- Address
-
Brief description of what you are proposing
- Sketches or plans - if you have any?
- A list of what you would like covered at the meeting.
Please note that any advice given at a pre-lodgement meeting doesn’t guarantee approval.
PRE LODGEMENT ADVICE
After the meeting, we’ll send you notes covering the issues discussed. This will include:
Our staff will then work with you to determine if you project is:
- Permissable/Prohibited
- What approvals you require eg: DA, construction
- What documents and plans you require
All applications are to be submitted on the NSW Planning Portal. The Planning Portal website has a large number of guides to assist you in lodging your application.
It is strongly recommended that you engage the services of the Town Planning consultant to assist in the preparation of your application/s.
