iRecycle Forbes App
Welcome to the new iRecycle App from Forbes Shire Council.
This amazing App allows residents and businesses alike to access quick and easy information about their local waste and recycling services.
This App is available to download, free, to all Apple and Android smart devices.
Let us talk you through the services
The Calendar function provides residents with simple to read, month to view, a calendar showing the required bins to be picked up identified according to the street address. Each day is labeled with coloured bars identifying the bins to be placed on the kerb and if there are any special events such as Bulky Waste pick up.
The App also provides valuable information to help residents to identify where they can improve in recycling materials in their household.
The A to Z Recycling Guide tab identifies which bin items must go in or if it needs to go to the Community Recycling Centre (CRC) or in the Bulky Waste Clean-up. It also has the handy function to be able to search for an item as well.
The Bin Info tab gives residents helpful information as to what is to be disposed of in the various bins available to residents and how often this rubbish is collected. This includes; General Waste, Recycling, Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO), Kitchen Caddy, and Bulky Waste.
The Forms tab allows residents to submit a bin request for residential and commercial premises. This empowers users to report missed services, damaged/lost/stolen bins, order additional services and discontinue services.
The More Info tab will provide residents with vital information regarding:
- Recycling Near Me
- Landfills
- Agricultural Waste
- Illegal Dumping
- Hazardous Waste Disposal
- Waste Initiatives
- Missed or Damaged Bin
- Waste collection during emergencies
- What happens to your waste after it is collected?
The iRecycle app gives residents the ability to Add Reminders. We all live very busy lives and this handy little feature takes the stress out of remembering what day is bin day and which bins are due for collection.
Simply enable push notifications and the App will instantly notify residents of any changes to their regular pick-up. For example; if a truck is broken down and the scheduled pick up is delayed. We can notify residents straight to their phones. This direct communication stops confusion and keeps the community well-informed.
The App has the ability to notify the public of events such as the Council Kerbside Clean Up and any Farmer’s Markets we may be attending too.
Forbes Shire Council continues to deliver waste initiatives to work towards zero waste in our community and to keep our beautiful Forbes Shire clean and pollution-free. We hope you enjoy using our new iRecycle App!
