Proposed new Fees: Indoor Pool |
In accordance with s.610F of the Local Government Act 1993, Council places on public exhibition proposed amendments to its Schedule of Fees and Charges, being:
a) New Fee: Business Use Membership Fee (per annum) of $1,500;
b) New Fee: Business Activity Participant - Pro rata Family Membership Fee for participants of programs conducted by commercial businesses at the Indoor Pool. This membership entitles the member to access the pool during operating hours for the duration of the membership period.
Submissions may be made in writing to The General Manager, PO Box 333, Forbes NSW 2871, by email to forbes@forbes.nsw.gov.au or delivered to 2 Court Street Forbes by 5pm 13 January 2025.

Planning Proposal - Forbes View Rezoning

Council has received a Planning Proposal to change the planning provisions for land to the north-west of Forbes Town Centre. The Planning Proposal proposes to amend the Forbes Local Environmental Plan 2013 (LEP) by changing the zoning, minimum lot size, height of buildings restriction on the subject land and land reserved for acquisition that apply to land situated between School Road, Edward Street and Morton Street, Forbes. The Planning Proposal has received Gateway approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure requiring a public exhibition of at least 20 working days. As such, the exhibition period is between 10 June and 5 July 2024, during which time the documentation will be available for viewing on Council’s website, or on request at Council Offices. The documents can also be viewed at https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/ppr/under%20exhibition.
The Forbes community is encouraged to have their say in regard to this Planning Proposal. Any submissions must be made in writing, addressed to the General Manager and detail clearly why you either support or oppose the proposal. Your submission must be received by Council by close of business on 5 July 2024, and must include your full name, address and phone number. To make a submission you can either:
1. Email forbes@forbes.nsw.gov.au;
2. Post to Forbes Shire Council, PO Box 333, Forbes NSW 2871; or
3. Deliver your submission to Council’s administration office at 2 Court Street, Forbes NSW 2871.
