Flood SMS Warning System

To assist locals and visitors alike in times of flood, Council has established an emergency flood warning SMS system that operates by subscription to warn the public regarding roads closed and streets that may be impacted.

This system was invaluable in the 2016 flood and was well received by the community.

Council is committed to ensuring that everyone who needs to subscribe to this service does, so if the need arises Council will notify subscribers of roads closures - right to your phone!
