  • Community groups benefit from funding - Fifteen community groups in Forbes Shire have received support from Council to purchase new equipment, conduct events and carry out other activities thanks to $54712 in funding from round one of Forbes Shire Council’s 2024/25 Community Funding Program.
  • Moving Harvest Machinery USB - Agricultural machinery owners and operators are invited to get road ready for the 2024 harvest season, by picking up a free 'Moving Harvest Machinery' USB from all agricultural machinery retailers and rural supply stores in the Parkes, Forbes and Lachlan Shires areas.
  • Lone Pine Tree Planted in Forbes - Forbes Shire Council has commemorated Remembrance Day by planting a Lone Pine seedling that is a direct descendant from the original Lone Pine from the site of the Battle of Lone Pine during World War 1.
  • Multipurpose Equestrian Centre opens - Forbes is set to become a hub for equestrian events, with the Multipurpose Equestrian Centre (MEC) at Forbes officially opening on Tuesday 26 November.
  • Record sheep throughput at CWLE - The Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange (CWLE) has seen record throughput numbers for sheep during the first four months of the 2024/25 financial year, with a staggering 721,473 sheep being yarded through the facility between July and October 2024.
