Forbes Visitor Information Centre

The Lachlan Vintage Village building will be revived, repaired and refurbished to become the new location for the Forbes Visitor Information Centre with an ideal location adjacent the Newell Highway and on the way to some of Forbes Shires stunning sculptures.

This project is a key deliverable of the Forbes Tourism Plan 2021-2031 and will greatly enhance our local tourism offering. 

Included in this first stage the road will be widened and upgraded to include safer access and drainage, a car park and turning bay for large vehicles and caravans as well as internal fit out and external cladding/verandah works. The work is planned for completion by December with the Visitor Information Centre operating from the site a short time afterwards. 

Local contractors will be used where possible contributing to the local economy.
